About
Dr. Shira Markowitz is a board certified neurologist and headache specialist. She received her bachelor's degree in chemistry from Yeshiva University's Stern College for Women and her medical degree from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She completed her neurology residency and headache fellowship at the Montefiore Medical Center. After working in a private practice in New York she made aliyah with her family. She then obtained her medical license from the Israel Health Ministry and specialty recognition from the Scientific Council of the Israel Medical Association.

Dr. Markowitz is currently a staff neurologist at Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and a neurology consultant at Maccabi Health Services.

Dr. Markowitz is a member of the Israel Medical Association, Israel Neurological Association, Israel Headache Society, American Academy of Neurology, American Headache Society, and International Headache Society.
